The Jon Dibben Edit has become a bit of a tradition at this time of year - a bit like a family round robin newsletter, but with more sparkle and colour!
We could really only start with this, the latest of Jon’s impressive Meadow rings. It's just the third one made at this scale, since the original emerald green tourmaline, and each design is slightly different, making each ring completely unique. This one features a fantastic 16.20ct super fine tanzanite - midnight blue with a hint of purple, set in platinum, with bright white diamonds surrounding.
Emerald or grass green tourmaline has been incredibly hard to find in the past 5 years, mainly because the Namibian sources, for this copper rich, green tourmaline have all but dried up. However, there are still finds in Brazil - some say that it’s the same seam, from when the two continents were joined. However, Jon was really pleased to be able to buy 3 round stones, one of which we have made into a smaller Meadow, as a homage to the very first! Set in Fairtrade white gold, with white diamonds, it's in the shop for £4,788.
This ring is on display with the one above. They were made at the same time, but this is in 18ct Fairtrade yellow gold, with an unusual pinky brown sapphire. It's priced at £4,873
During Jon's last trip to Antwerp, he was really drawn to these pale, lemon-coloured, natural diamonds. They've worked beautifully in his larger Spring Meadow design, complementing the 18ct Fairtrade white gold, and giving the ring a real vintage feel. It also offers a fabulous spread of diamonds - just over 1.20cts - for the price of £5,467.
That leads neatly on to the pendant which matches this collection, shown here with white diamonds, set in platinum. Again, a new find for Jon, the diamonds have been cut to have perfect symmetry and unique brilliance, so are a perfect match to each other. Understandably, they've become Jon's first choice of smaller diamonds - now in our eternity pieces and surrounding our Meadow rings! This pendant, in platinum, is £3,647.
And, of course, the matching earrings! A beautiful cluster, offering a great show of diamonds. In platinum, they're £5,657.
Staying with the Meadow styling, this striking, unusual design is another of Jon's new pieces. It's in platinum, set with a beautiful 1.25ct Asscher cut diamond.
With the all important Jon Dibben styling on the side. It's priced at £17,447.
Earlier in the year, Jon supported the Fairtrade 'I Do' campaign, and launched his new Winter Meadow rings at a busy press launch in London. They have Jon's organic Meadow styling, with a pared-back feel, to show off the simple beauty of a single stone. The design is in Fairtrade white gold with diamond; and below it's shown in 18ct Fairtrade red gold with a green sapphire, at a price of £1,924.
For the same launch, Jon also showed these new, ridged rings, mainly aimed at men, for wedding or everyday wear.
And back to something blue! Jon says that this sapphire is in the top three that he's bought over the past 25 years. It has to be seen in the flesh to truly appreciate the glow of even colour. It's also unusual to have Asscher cut diamonds on either side of this centre stone.
Keeping with 3-stones, we've recently finished this ruby cushion - an impressive, almost Gothic, rich red colour.
And this diamond ring - which is our very first to have three oval stones. We're really pleased with the way this has worked out, and we've also managed to make another of our original Asscher 3-stone rings, after a period of selling them almost straight from the workshop.
So, before you get treasure fatigue, we'll just finish with a couple of notable Floral rings, and some rather lovely Four-Claws.
This is the largest size of Floral ring Jon makes, set here with an amazing 2.76ct marquise sapphire - that's over 12mm long! It's in platinum, and accompanied by white diamonds, with a price of £10,978.
Another of Jon's purchases from Antwerp, this stunning Natural Fancy Intense orange/yellow marquise diamond, is again set in platinum with accompanying white diamonds. It's priced at £7,875.
The final three - Jon's signature Four Claw designs - are all in Fairtrade gold, and set with purple sapphire, blue/green sapphire, and spessartite garnet, with prices from £3,587.
Thanks for browsing! We hope you have a very Happy Christmas,
Jon, Paul, Chris and Hannah.
