We're really pleased to have new designs from Glenn. I think we were probably among the first shops and galleries to show Glenn's work - from just after he finished his degree. I can still remember first seeing his hand forged pieces, and being really impressed with the incredible workmanship and beauty of them. I still feel the same way about his work now, many years later, and these new pieces do not dissapoint. What's more, he is a really nice, gentle man. A proper creative craftsman - happiest when he's forging metal into beautiful shapes with his hammer. In fact Paul now writes out invoices for him, as he never gets round to doing it himself. Contented but poor, I guess!
In Glenn's own words - "They are based on quaking grass pods that I found beside an old brewery while out on a walk many years ago - probably 2000-2002. When I first found them they were green but time has bleached the colour away leaving them a light gold."
"The texture is paper that is rolled onto the metal's surface, leaving an imprint behind. I use a heavy texture on the outside and a fine texture on the inside. The gold detail is not present in the original pods but I really like how it looks. The original pods also move, which is why I linked mine, rather than make a solid piece, although mine move rather more, but I enjoy their chaotic nature!"
We have Glenn's new designs in pendant and earrings. They really are very tactile, with this amazing movement when worn. The pendants are in silver, and range from £90 for smaller pieces, to £495 for larger pendants with 18ct gold accents. Please drop by and take a look!

Beth Gilmour
We first featured Beth's work, last Christmas, and it has been very well received through the year. Beth has had such a busy year, having been selected for the prestigeous British Fashion Council's 'Rock Vault' initiative, which aims to support, showcase and promote Britain’s most innovative, fine jewellery talent! Jon feels quite smug, as he was attracted to Beth's work, and wanted to feature her work in the shop! This initiative, saw Beth travelling to the Couture show, in Las Vegas, to show her work.
One of Beth's pieces, was also selected by renowned architect, Zaha Hadid, who was invited to select 21 personal highlights from this years Goldsmiths fair exhibitors. She chose favourite pieces of jewellery and silver, and an impressive pair of Beth's earrings were amongst them. So all in all, we are really proud to have Beth's work back in the shop, after quite a year for Beth.
Yen
Jon Dibben favourite, Yen, has recently sent us some new pieces, to compliment the collection that we already have here in the shop. The real show stoppers are the Adorn pieces, that take her Molecule design to a completely new level. Big and bold, but retaining the gentle, tactile feel of Yen's pieces.
More work is arriving every day, which makes this time of year very exciting!
We look forward to showing you the new work!
