I had collected the stones over many years, and had the positioning mocked up for at least five, but I could never quite work out how to link it in a time efficient way. In the end we just forgot about being sensible, and I let this design slowly come together, heavily influenced by the style of our Meadow rings. I am really happy with the outcome; it is beautiful and striking, but also very subtle and wearable

Meadow white gold collar with aquamarines, tourmalines, beryls and diamonds

Jon's debut collar made using Fairtrade and Fairmined ecological gold originating from the Oro Verde mining co-operative in Colombia.

Inspired by Jon's Meadow series of rings, the collar was five years in the making; from buying the first carved beryls, to hand selecting and matching the cabouchon aquamarines, sea-green tourmalines and yellow beryls and making their bespoke settings.

The tendrils that rise from the settings form the subtle linkage and are set with one and three quarter carats of traceable, white diamonds.

The collar is made using ecologically mined white gold from the Oro VerdeTM mine in Columbia. Oro VerdeTM is the source of the world's first Certified Fairtrade & Fairmined Ecological gold, mined without the use of chemicals. The platinum they produce is mined under the same standards.

In our commitment to Fairtrade, we are helping small scale miners in other parts of the world - artisans, a bit like ourselves, to improve all aspects of their lives.

We were one of the first jewellery designers to offer collections and one off pieces bearing the Fairtrade and Fairmined dual stamp which guarantees that the gold has been responsibly sourced.
