I was inspired to design this ring after making some of our more ornate dress rings. I love the detail and the way it has a random feel but still seems ordered and harmonious.
The larger blue and purple sapphires are slightly different sizes and claw set; the smaller diamonds, a pair, are in rub over settings- in all forming a floral-style cluster. Full of delicate detail, it has an almost ethereal quality.
This ring combines ecologically mined gold from the Oro VerdeTM mine in Columbia with fair trade mauve sapphires from Tanzania. Oro VerdeTM is the source of the world's first Certified Fairtrade & Fairmined Ecological gold, mined without the use of chemicals. The platinum they produce is mined under the same standards.
In our commitment to Fairtrade, we are helping small scale miners in other parts of the world - artisans, a bit like ourselves, to improve all aspects of their lives.
We were one of the first jewellery designers to offer collections and one off pieces bearing the Fairtrade and Fairmined dual stamp which guarantees that the gold has been responsibly sourced.
Here are examples of what is possible and may be found at our shop. We can also source stones of your choice to make the design personal to you.
